TÜRKİYE - Nane Limon Kabuğu (Mint, Lemon Peel)

As the 5th-grade students of Uşak Borsa İstanbul Secondary School, we are immensely proud to represent Türkiye in Schoolovision 2026!

This "resilient generation," who began their educational journey under the shadow of the 2019 global pandemic, is now responding to modern health concerns with the healing power of music and tradition.

Our students performed "Nane Limon Kabuğu" (Mint, Lemon Peel), an immortal masterpiece by Türkiye’s legendary artist Barış Manço

The music video, filmed across our school grounds and the Uşak University campus, was directed and produced by talented students from the Uşak University Faculty of Communication.

More than just a song, this project is a warm "get well soon" message from the heart of Anatolia, blending the natural remedies of mint, lemon, and ginger with the boundless energy of childhood.

We are thrilled to share this rhythmic medicine and our cultural heritage with all of Europe.

POLAND - Na straganie (At the Vegetable Stall)

For this year's Schoolovision project, students from Primary School No. 1 in Bogatynia present a rap adaptation of the classic Polish poem "Na straganie" (At the Market Stall) by Jan Brzechwa - famous Polish writer of poems for children.
The lyrics tell a humorous story of various vegetables—such as chives, dill, beets, and onions—arguing and gossiping with each other at a local market. The dialogue highlights their different personalities and petty rivalries, only to be cut short by a cabbage who reminds them that, regardless of their status, they will all eventually end up in the same soup.

Jan Brzechwa
AT THE VEGETABLE STALL

At the vegetable stall on market day,
Such conversations are the way:
'You may lean on me, Mr Dill,
You really have gone through the mill'.
'Now is that surprising my dear Chive,
I've been withering here since five!'
Then to that Kohlrabi says:
'Just look at robust Turnip's rays!'
Pea moves to pat Turnip's blushes,
And to ask: 'No more crushes?'
'Thank you, no. Hardly at all,
That's to say, since the last fall'.
'But Miss Parsnip is so poorly,
Pale, thin, and quite deadly really.'
'Oh, what a life!'
Sighted old Knife.
Mr Beetroot keeps his distance
From Miss Onion's dire insistance:
'My dear Beetroot, my red darling,
Will you not be my prince charming?'
Mr Beetroot only holds his breath:
'Away you go, not for all the world's wealth.
I want a dear beetroot wife,
Without days of crying strife'.
'Oh, what a life!'
Sighted old Knife.
Then quite suddenly Bean was heard:
'And you also want to join the herd?'
'Don't be too big for your boots',
To this little Brussels sprouts hoots.
'Did you ever see the like?'
Bristled Carrot at the fight.
'Let's ask Cabbage for some help'.
'Cabbage! That head's soft as felt!'
To that Cabbage asks them sadly:
'Why are you quibbling so madly?
Why the stupid altercation
When soup is our destination.'
'Oh, what a life!'
Sighted old Knife.

SLOVENIA - What Do Sandwiches Eat?

Everyone likes to eat a sandwich, but did you ever wonder what do sandwiches like to eat?

Julija (8), ukulele player of children's band Pogrüntey asked herself that very question and even wrote a song about it.

Cool thing about sandwiches is that they have different tastes for food: some sandwiches like sausage or cheese together with veggies such as lettuce or pickles; others prefer ham and mayonnaise. Some avoid meat completely, while others go for soft cheese, dry salami, and an olive or two. Options are limitless, and depending on sandwiches taste in food, it will taste different — that is why everyone can find can find a sandwich they like.

Pogrüntey are almost like sandwiches. You can change every band member, but they are still Pogrüntey. New members are: Sofija (6) on bass, Julija (8) on ukulele, guitar player Jakob (9), drummer Mark (10). Lead singer is Nadja (8), but Sofija, Julija and Jakob also sing.

Check out our fun little song from Slovenia! The kids wrote it and played all the instruments. We are very proud and happy that our small primary school from a sunny green village Bistrica ob Sotli can be a part of this beautiful festival!

Enjoy your day – and your sandwich :)

ENGLAND - Bristol Pirate

Hello from Bishop Road Primary School in Bristol, England!

For our entry, we have rewritten a traditional Sea Shanty to feature some of our favourite locations across our city. Bristol is a port city and sea shanties are traditional folk songs that play an important part in our history.
Our song is sung by children in Year 3 and nearly 800 people from our school community feature in our video.
We hope our entry puts a smile on your face and makes you want to ‘Way Hey’ along with us!

ESTONIA - Kesselaid

This summer’s hit is Kesselaid, a small island between mainland Estonia and the country’s largest island, Saaremaa.
Sometimes things don’t go according to plan—and that’s exactly what happens in this story.
On the way to Saaremaa, all the money was spent on food, drinks, and fuel, leaving nothing for a full ferry ticket. So we ended up buying only a half ticket to Kesselaid.

The 5th grade of Jüri School wishes you a wonderful summer
and hopes you enjoy our song!

AUSTRIA - Kopfhörer Auf

This year, we decided to perform the entire song in Austrian dialect to represent our language and culture in a very authentic way.

Our song is about something everyone knows: moments when life simply feels difficult. Whether it happens at school, at home, or with friends during free time, everybody experiences situations where sadness, stress, or negative thoughts take over.

But there is one thing that always helps:

 MUSIC.

Headphones on, world off.

Music has the power to calm us down, sort out our thoughts, and push negative feelings away for a moment. It creates a place where we can breathe, feel understood, and be ourselves again.

At the same time, music connects people. It brings friendships, creates emotions we share together, and reminds us that nobody is truly alone.

ICELAND - Rúntarinn

Flataskóli’s entry for the Schoolovision competition in Iceland is the song “Rúntarinn” by Steindi Jr. The song captures a unique and lively aspect of Icelandic culture centered around “going for a rúntur,” which is a common expression meaning to go for a drive for fun or leisure.

This tradition is especially common among young people, particularly those who have recently obtained their driver’s license. For many, going on a “rúntur” is an important social activity and a way to spend time with friends. In fact, this kind of cruising culture exists in almost every town and community across Iceland, where each place often has its own familiar routes and meeting spots.

During these drives, it is popular to make stops at various places, with one of the most iconic being a visit to get a hot dog.

A total of 17 boys from Flataskóli take part in the project. They are responsible for performing the song, as well as producing, filming, and editing the music video together. The result is a fun and energetic video that reflects both the spirit of the song and this distinctive Icelandic cruising culture.

MALTA - When I was Young I used to Think ...

When I was young, I used to believe everyone shared the same sense of wonder—that we all once imagined things that might seem funny or awkward as we grew older.
Malta’s song takes you on a journey back to that place, where your mind can wander freely and rediscover a brighter world filled with magic and possibility.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - When we laugh, our heart leaps

We are a kindergarten from Usora, a small municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The song is performed by children aged 4-6. The lyrics and music were written by a student and a teacher from our partner schools. The song is about our kindergarten, friendship, love, and community. The video shows our favorite kindergarten activities, and in parts of the video, the children wear traditional costumes to symbolize the importance of our Usora region.

LITHUANIA - Spring waltz for mom

The song "Spring waltz for mom" was created by our music teacher Gaiva Šimonienė. The third-graders are happy to give it to you, dear eTwinning partners.

The most beautiful words, the most meaningful works - to MOTHERS.

SWITZERLAND - Numa es Minütli

This year we wanted to keep it short and sweet. When we discussed all the possible topics for a schoolovision song, we came across exactly the problem occuring in our song. A lot of people had a lot to say, but nobody really listened to one another. So we don't want to occupy to much of your time ... just a minute to say ... If somebody says something ... listen!

Best of wishes to you all of you from Switzerland!

We really enjoyed making the music and the video - now we hope you will enjoy watching it!

IRELAND - Ag Ceol Anocht

Our rural school is nestled in County Donegal on the rugged North-West coast of Ireland. With just 90 pupils, our school is small, but our sense of community, identity and pride is strong. Irish is the language we live and learn through every day, and it is at the heart of who we are.
Fourth class, made up of pupils aged 10 and 11, are proud to represent our school. Our song, Ag Ceol Anocht, is inspired by the rich culture that surrounds us—from our local artists and musicians to the breathtaking landscapes and deep-rooted traditions of our area.
This song is a celebration of our school, our community and our county. It reflects our love for the Irish language, for music, for sport and for the heritage that shapes us.
Above all, Ag Ceol Anocht carries a message for young people everywhere: to stand tall, to take pride in who you are, and to celebrate your individuality and uniqueness.

FINLAND - Aalloilla alla auringon

Greetings from Finland!
Kurittula School proudly represents Finland in the Schoolovision 2026 contest! Our song "On the waves under the sun" takes us to the sea. Join us for an adventure :)

On the waves under the sun

Perkiö Soili, sävel / Composition
Kallio Liisa, sanat / Lyrics
Rusi Neea, käännös / Translation

On the waves under the sun,
the stars and the moon
Our ship, small and carefree, Sets sail for an adventure

We reef the sails in the storm,
We rest in calm weather,
Rain or thick fog
won’t scare us away

When sailing in the same boat
everyone matters
In addition to a compass
we need our hearts and wisdom

We reef the sails.

SCOTLAND - La Paix

Dear international friends,

We are so grateful to be able to take represent Scotland for the first time in years in this awesome competition. We really can't wait to watch all your videos and listen to the songs you have created.

The few we have watched so far are fantastic! So much talent!

Our entry is a bilingual song called "La paix", which means "Peace" in French.  But why French if we live in Scotland?

It's because our French teacher wrote and composed it. As we learnt it and recorded it during our French lessons, it was a perfect opportunity to practise our French in the process. Besides, apart from long-standing historical links, France and Scotland are always tied through their common Celtic heritage, which we hope you'll hear come through in the song.

Anyways!  "La paix" is all about spreading love and appealing for peace, which we feel is much needed in today's difficult times.

We hope you like our song, our Scottish landscape and don't hesitate to sing along if you feel like it too!

Thank you so much for listening and having us take part.

Sending love from Scotland! ♥

GERMANY - We made a song

Hello, dear cosmic relatives!

This year's German entry is a chaotic and wonderful journey through our school's personality. From the idea of the song which originated a couple of years ago, when a father heard about Schoolovision, to our spring holidays some weeks ago when we actually filmed it:

The lyrically talented son and his classmates surely liked his dad's idea but had their own take on it. With a couple of beats, peers and assistance they produced this wonderful song. A perpetuum mobile of a song about a song, a video about a video and fun about fun. Yes, that should sum it up quite nicely.

And why chaotic? None of these groups were part of every step. One had the idea, others took it and made the music and lyrics, again others made the video for it. We trusted each other to value the efforts of each group despite not knowing what would eventually become of it. At the end, we called in for everybody who wanted to be part of the grand finale. It was fun all the way through, and everybody is already looking forward to the next session of Schoolovision!

Today, I finished cutting our video, and we'll be starting to watch all the videos that have been uploaded already.
Excited and exhausted, Şan :)

UZBEKISTAN - Science and magic

Hello from International Talent Academy!

Dive into a whimsical adventure with "Science and magic" a captivating song composed by our students that brings to life the magic of storytelling and imagination. Set in a library, a group of kids discusses their favorite books and dreams of magical worlds. Their playful banter turns into reality when a mysterious spell book appears, leading them on an unexpected journey filled with mischief and surprises.

As they attempt to summon a Jinn, skepticism meets enchantment, resulting in hilarious chaos at school. The song explores topics of belief, friendship, and the fine line between fiction and reality. Will the skeptical child learn to embrace the magic around them?

Join us in this delightful musical tale where imagination knows no bounds and every twist promises laughter and fun! Lyrics: Children in a library listen to music and discuss books:
- Such a good read!
- This one's my fave.
- If our school were like Hogwarts — make-believe!
Magical adventures, heroic deeds!
- Yes!
- All these are fiction; our life is no myth, Magic doesn't exist indeed.

Suddenly a magic book appears.

- Hey, it's a secret spell book, look! Nice!
- I bet if we read one, we'll summon the Jinn, guys!
- I bet bro you'll just come off as naive.
- Let's do it and you'll no more disbelieve!

Children perform the magic ritual according to the instructions in the spell book. The lights flicker, but nothing else happens.

Skeptical Child:
- Done playing, wizards? Let's go to class…

The children shrug and leave, not noticing that a real Jinn has emerged from the book.

Vocal line:
This is not the same Jinn that grants wishes, not at all!
He follows only his own will - to make everyone bawl…

Jinn puts tape in the doorway and conjures tape on the children's desks to frame them. The teacher is caught in a trap: Who did this?! Huh, it's you! Stand up! Let's go to the head teacher!

Children are talking in the hallway:
- Dude, what's going on in class? It's mystic...
I'm afraid it's because of that spell we cast.
- Grow up, stop the nonsense, be realistic; Please, focus we've a math test last!
- Wait!

Jinn is causing mischief at school, peppering children's food and bringing a skeleton to life in the Science classroom. Skeptical Child sees a crowd of children running from the skeleton and realizes Jinn exists and must be caught.

Skeptical Child:
- Hey, Jinn, your pranks are just kid stuff, hear?
I've a killer idea for you - now, appear!
I'm a boss bully, with mischief in my veins,
Don't miss the deal gonna bring you gains.

The Jinn appears to hear the proposal:
You tore me from mischief so be it, let's talk,
Pitch your idea, hope it's worth my time.
But if not, I'll turn you into a stinky sock,
Disappoint me you pay for your crime!

Skeptical Child tricks the Jinn into enchanting a camera:
Make it so that a person imprinted by this
Ends up being a prisoner in the snapshot.

Jinn answers:
Wow, mortal - you're not the type to miss!
I'll cast a spell on the spot.
Done!

Skeptical Child:
Are you sure?

Jinn:
Just test it on someone!

Skeptical Child takes a photo of the Jinn to trap him.

Jinn:
Hey, what are you doing?! No!!!

Jinn is trapped inside the photograph.

Friends of Skeptical Child:
Now you believe in magic?!

Skeptical Child:
Of course not, I'm sure science will explain it!

UKRAINE - We Want to Live Here

Hello from Ukraine, dear friends!

This year’s Schoolovision song was written during the first weeks of the war by the Ukrainian composer Kateryna Komar to show the pain of children suffering through the cruelties of war. Today, more than four years later, we have decided to sing the full version for you. This song is about the 'little one' inside each of us. It is about children who were forced to become adults in an instant; about those who live under the constant threat of death; and those who wait to return home to their own rooms and their toys. It is for those who have lost a father or a mother. And finally, it is for those who became angels, and those who were stolen by Russia and remain outside of Ukraine in foreign families.

We Want to Live Here

We want to live upon this land,
For here our mothers and fathers stay.
And when the flowers bloom so grand,
We’d throw our arms 'round the world today.

Soon this war will reach its end,
And maybe then, deep sleep we'll find.
And all she stole, piece by piece, we'll mend,
Leaving no fragment left behind.

They took my home, they tore it down,
But I’ll return where I belong.
I’ll stay alive, though shadows frown,
Through pain and tears, through weariness strong.

They fire their guns, but I feel no fear,
In one great goal, our hearts combine.
Though we are children, the way is clear:
To change the world—and Ukraine shall shine!

Blow, blow wind, with all you might,
Across our Ukraine, far and wide.
Dry every tear, end the night,
And let a peaceful heart preside.

Though we are small, we shall be brave,
With strength that time can never rise,
And the sun shall dance on every wave,
And shine forever in our eyes.

SPAIN - BAILE INOLVIDABLE / OLVIDA TUS PENA

“Singing, dancing, and dreaming together… because life is filled with joy when we share the best of ourselves.”

From the heart of Valsequillo, Gran Canaria, the students of Elvira Vaquero School are once again representing the Canary Islands and Spain at Schoolovision, sharing a project full of hope, enthusiasm, and values with all of Europe.

Through their music, the students want to convey a message of joy, hope, and unity. With this performance, they express that life is full of unforgettable moments, learning experiences, shared emotions, and the strength to transform difficulties into smiles. Because singing, dancing, and enjoying ourselves together is also a way to grow, overcome sorrows, and celebrate all the good things that unite us.

This work reflects the authenticity, energy, and sensitivity of the students of CEIP Elvira Vaquero, who put their heart into every word, every step, and every note. Values like friendship, empathy, resilience, community, and happiness come alive in this project, demonstrating that music can unite cultures, break down borders, and fill the world with new energy.

We participate once again with the excitement of continuing to build bridges between countries, bringing a message full of light, positivity, and love for life from Valsequillo, Gran Canaria.

Because when children sing from the heart, Europe listens.

Sing, dream, and dance with us… because life is full of flowers, and together we can make it unforgettable.

CZECH REPUBLIC - Kam patří odpadky

This year, we chose the song "Where Does the Trash Go" for Schoolovision because we care about our planet and want everyone to breathe well here. 💚 The environment affects each of us, which is why we think it's important to take care of it from a young age. We believe that even small steps make a big difference - for example, sorting waste. It may seem like a small thing, but when many people get involved, it can have a huge impact. Thanks to proper sorting, a lot of materials can be reused and do not end up unnecessarily in landfills or in nature.
