IRELAND - Ag Ceol Anocht

Our rural school is nestled in County Donegal on the rugged North-West coast of Ireland. With just 90 pupils, our school is small, but our sense of community, identity and pride is strong. Irish is the language we live and learn through every day, and it is at the heart of who we are.
Fourth class, made up of pupils aged 10 and 11, are proud to represent our school. Our song, Ag Ceol Anocht, is inspired by the rich culture that surrounds us—from our local artists and musicians to the breathtaking landscapes and deep-rooted traditions of our area.
This song is a celebration of our school, our community and our county. It reflects our love for the Irish language, for music, for sport and for the heritage that shapes us.
Above all, Ag Ceol Anocht carries a message for young people everywhere: to stand tall, to take pride in who you are, and to celebrate your individuality and uniqueness.

What a beautiful celebration of culture, community and pride. 💚🤍🧡

“Ag Ceol Anocht” is far more than just a song — it is a reflection of the heart and soul of a small rural school in the beautiful North-West of Donegal. With only 90 pupils, this school proves that greatness is not measured by size, but by spirit, tradition and togetherness.

The pupils of Fourth Class should be incredibly proud of themselves. Through music, they are sharing the beauty of their Irish language, their heritage, their landscape and their deep connection to home. Inspired by the musicians, artists and traditions that surround them every day, they have created something truly special and full of meaning.

In a world that is changing so quickly, seeing young people embrace and celebrate Gaeilge, culture and community in this way is something to be admired and supported. The passion, joy and pride shining through “Ag Ceol Anocht” deserves every bit of encouragement and recognition.

Wishing the pupils, teachers and wider school community the very best of luck and continued success. Donegal should be proud of you all. 👏✨

Ár dteanga. Ár gcultúr. Ár gcroí. 🎶
